Support » Fixing WordPress » Fail to open stream error after changing template

  • I apologize if this is redundant, but I couldn’t find quite the same problem anywhere, so I’m submitting this.

I tested a new theme on my hard drive, loaded it to my server, and activated it, and now get this error. There appears to be an extra slash in the path, but now I can’t access any page via admin. Is there a way I can manually tell wp to use the defaults? I found another thread that said to reinstall the default theme, which I did, but it had no effect.

Warning: main(F:\home\mydir\mysite\family//wp-content/themes/WP-Binary-Blue-v140/plugins/archive.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in F:\hshome\mydir\mysite\family\wp-content\themes\WP-Binary-Blue-v140\functions.php on line 21

  • Umm.. of course you would.. if you didn’t RE-ADJUST the URLS in the theme files, and so forth, and so on…??
