Fail Filtering smartphone specific emoji icon

  • lord_lethris

    @lord_lethris

    This plugin works great, however, when a tweet contains a smartphone emoji icon – it causes it to break the html/php formatting where the emoji was.

    for example, my code is –

    <div class="aligncenter"><table border=0 width=90%><tr><td width=60><a href="[twitter URL]"><img border="0" src="[twitter IMG]" width="60" alt="Zoe Hart : Personal Trainer"></a></td><td><p class='tweet_text'>%tweet%</p></td></tr></table></div>
    <div class="aligncenter"><table border=0 width=90%><tr><td colspan="2">%tweet_images%</td></tr></table></div>

    But a tweet with an emoji causes this –

    <div class="aligncenter"><table border=0 width=90%><tr><td width=60><a href="[twitter URL]"><img border="0" src="[twitter IMG]" width="60" alt="Zoe Hart : Personal Trainer"></a></td><td><p class='tweet_text'>%tweet%

    which then breaks the page as the </td></tr></table></div> is broken in the tweet post.
