    I’m using the fad theme, and I can’t figure out how to change the header image?

    Many thanks in advance!

  • Hey there MKingma,

    How are you doing today?

    I’ve checked the theme that you’re using and since I’m not seeing options on how to do this from the admin I’m guessing we’ll have to do that with some custom CSS. Please try adding the following CSS code in the style.css file of your child theme or add it in your site using the following plugin:

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css

    #header {
      background: url(Your_Image_URL) no-repeat scroll center center / 100% auto rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
    }

    Replace the dummy URL with the URL to your image. If the code doesn’t work please keep it added and post link to your site so I can take a look 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan

    Thank you Bojan, that worked.

    The only issue now is the “search” box in the header is filled with the default image. Do you know how I can hide the search box completely?

    Thanks again!

    Hey again MKingma,

    Glad that worked 🙂

    As for removing search box you should be able to remove it with CSS as well, so can you please try adding this as well:

    #search #s {
      display: none;
    }

    This should remove the search box.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan
