Support » Plugin: Jetpack by WordPress.com » Facebook Widget Not Showing Share Button

HI – I’ve added the Jetpack FB widget to two sites, and it’s working differently on each. On one, it shows a Like Page button in the bottom left, and a Share button on the bottom right. On the other, it only shows the Like Page button.

Other than the FB page it links to, the widget is setup exactly the same on each site. Show faces and stream unchecked, show cover photo checked. No other options set.

Any thoughts on what’s going on? I’d love to have the share button show up on both.

    Thanks,
    Eric

That additional “Share” button is pulled directly from Facebook, depending on your Facebook Page settings. I’d recommend going to “Edit Page” under your Page settings on Facebook, and checking the templates you’re using for each page. If you compare the settings for the 2 pages, you should be able to see the differences between the 2, and what’s controlling the Share button.

    I hope this helps.

Hi I am also having the same issue. I have 4 widgets 3 are including the “Share” button and one will not. All pages are set are the exact same way, so I am at a loss as to my next move…can you help…Cheers Steve

@lycralad I’d recommend checking if you’ve added custom sign-up buttons to your Facebook Page via its admin settings; those buttons can affect the look of the Facebook Page Plugin widget.

If that doesn’t help, I’m afraid I can only suggest that you reach out to Facebook directly; they control the contents of the Page Plugin widget.
