 * Hello John!
 * There is an issue with the plugin and Facebook. As you may know, when a link
   is posted on the Facebook platform, they automatically add a tracking ID in order
   to allow for data collection. Unfortunately, with the redirection plugin, the
   tracking ID is causing an issue and redirecting to a 404 page. You can check
   this by creating any random redirect and then posting it to a Facebook page.
   Unfortunately, this issue has caused me to delete the plugin for the meantime
   and change the link of the actual product. Once it has been look at, I will reinstall.
 * Regards!

 * You will need to create a redirect that takes the parameters into account, either
   using a regular expression or directly.
 * A future version of Redirection will make this easier.

 * Don’t you think that kind of defeats the point since facebook can generate ids
   dynamically and they might change? If you use multiple copies of the same link
   it also creates seperate ids for each one. The redirect should put a / at the
   end like normal friendly urls do so that it doesn’t cause the issue.

 * You can handle dynamic IDs with a regular expression.

 * You mentioned – “A future version of Redirection will make this easier.” – When
   do you expect that this will be remedied in a release? I’m going to have to append
   all of my current redirects with regex.

 * Sorry, I don’t have anything more specific than ‘a future version’.

 * Thanks – can you provide assistance with how to handle dynamic IDs with a regular
   expression?

 * I’d also like to know how to handle this. It comes up a lot with how I use Redirection.

 * Just a note that there is now an alpha version of the plugin which allows you
   to ignore query parameters without regular expressions:
 * [https://github.com/johngodley/redirection/releases/tag/4.0-alpha-1](https://github.com/johngodley/redirection/releases/tag/4.0-alpha-1)
 * If you are able to test then I’d appreciate any feedback on Github, or direct
   at [https://redirection.me/contact/](https://redirection.me/contact/)

 * Thanks, John. I tested it out on a development site and looked like it was working
   well with a few links that were broken from parameters/tracking being appended
   to the url by external websites & communication tools. Any idea on when this
   will feature will be published?
 * Appreciate your work on this great plugin!
 * Best,
    Michael

 * I need to release 3.7 first, and then 4.0 will be after when I feel it’s had
   sufficient testing. Thanks for the feedback!
