When posting to Facebook, the thumbnails that FB picks are totally random.

I’ve found your plugin which looks great. I think I’ve got to the stage where it will allow me to have a static pic of my choosing when putting my link on FB, HOWEVER, I would like it, if possible to do two things:

    1) If I (or someone) links to a specific post, for the thumbnail to be of a pic from that post.

    2) If it is a generic mention of my site http://www.myblondereality.com rather than about a post, then my generic pic or logo to be shown instead.

    Is this possible please?

Well, the whole way Facebook handles Likes, Sends, Shares, etc., and how that changes over time, is outside of my control. BUT, we can certainly control the information about a page that is offered to Facebook. 😉

    – By default, the plugin will present an image from a Post or Page (see “How does NGFB Open Graph+ find images for the Open Graph meta tags?” in the FAQ for more info). So, you’re good there.

    – By default, the plugin will present a default image on indexes and archives (home page, etc.). So, if you define a default image (your logo) on the plugin’s General settings page, you should be good there as well.

Let me know if you have any other questions. It might be worth reading through the FAQ, just in case. 😉

This plugin is quite thorough and very solid, so you’ve made the right choice. 😉
