    Hiya!

My site, disaus.com, is ready to be shared to friends but when I write the link, the preview says “My site name – Just Another WordPress Blog” (the bit in bold is “correct”).
Then the preview text gets its sample from my first test post:
(Temporary Post This website is nothing because I am just seeing if it works. Author disausPosted on 12th July 201612th July 20161 Comment on Temporary Post)
which is a page I permanently deleted that day. I have no idea how to make it so it shows maybe a pretty preview of the latest article or if not that, just… not my terrible test post from day 1 building.

    Any help would be AMAZING!

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I downloaded WP Super Cache and used the Cache Tester and got some errors.

    Cache Tester
Failure when receiving data from the peer

Fetching http://www.disaus.com/ to prime cache: OK

Fetching first copy of http://www.disaus.com/: FAILED

Fetching second copy of http://www.disaus.com/: FAILED

One or more page requests failed:

The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!

    Things you can do:

    1. Load your home page in a logged out browser, check the timestamp at the end of the html source. Load the page again and compare the timestamp. Caching is working if the timestamps match.
(I’ve done this, they do match)

    2. Enable logging on the Debug page here. That should help you track down the problem.
    3. You should check Page 1 and Page 2 above for errors. Your local server configuration may not allow your website to access itself.

#3 has got me confused, I can’t seem to find Page 1 or Page 2 of debug information. If anyone knows how to find these, or help me fix my issue, that’d be great. It says I’ve deleted all page caches but the problem persists and I reckon these errors would have something to do with that?

Hi, @nkbswe5. According to the Facebook Debugger Tool, the last time it scraped your site was on July 11. So try going here and clicking the “Scrape again” button there, to force Facebook to fetch the latest data from the site.

(You should also consider addressing those warnings the tool is reporting, assuming they’re still there after you’ve forced the scrape to renew.)

Oh, never heard of Sharing Debugger! That totally fixed that problem!

The cache still shows errors sadly, but I’ll look into that myself when I’m more awake and can focus on the installation and FAQs.

Thanks a lot girlieworks for at least letting me share my work now! Made my night!

    And thanks orldofgamad4 for making me find problems I didn’t know I had… 🙂
