# Facebook sharing only uses post permalink

 * Hello
 * I’d like users to share the full URL of a page, so I’ve checked the “Share Full
   URL” option in the plugin settings page. It works with all the social icons other
   than Facebook for some reason, which will only display the post permalink.
 * Any ideas of how I can fix this?

 * I get “Error establishing a database connection” when trying to access your page.
 * My assumption for the FB issue is that you have some other plugin that appends
   OpenGraph tags to your page with the post permalink and Facebook picks those 
   up.

 * My page is working now if you have time to take a look. Sorry about that, I just
   needed to reboot for some reason.

 * Ok, all sorted now, I just had to set the canonical URL to the page URL as Facebook
   was using the permalink by default.
 * For anyone reading this and experiencing problems with Facebook sharing buttons,
