Whenever trying to share a post on my site (rivercsports.com), when clicking the facebook share button, it just shows the site name in a very small box, without any post preview or featured image.

However, if sharing the link directly on facebook, it appears correctly most the time.

I’ve tried Facebook debugging numerous times as well as clearing the FTS cache.

Not sure what to do at this point?

Just to follow up the button is not broken, the trick here according to Facebook is you need to add something like this to the head of your wordpress.

<meta property=”og:image” content=”https://www.yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/graffiti-background.jpg”>

If you wanted every page to have a different image you would have to get the thumbnail image or featured image from the page you are on using php.
