Facebook Share Count Reset to 0

    I moved from the simple-facebook-share-button WordPress plugin to the ShareThis plugin and all my share counts were reset to 0…is this because of the move? The other plugin is no longer supported so I have no choice, but change plugins…would this have happened with other sharing plugins as well? Where does the count come from? Facebook or ShareThis?
