Facebook Share Button Not Submitting - Just Hangs (5 posts)

    Hey Guys,

I've been looking at this for a while and for whatever reason the Facebook Share button won't seem to submit on my WordPress blog. The share dialog pops up, but when you go to click "share link" it looks like it's going to submit, but it never does...

It doesn't really hang, it just tries to submit and nothing happens. Here's an example URL of where I'm trying to use it:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
    Jon

It seems that Fu#$in' FB decided to change the sharer.php behavior without letting anyone no.

    SOLUTION:
    --------
DiggDigg's Share button call to the following URL no longer works:
    https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?app_id=309437425817038&sdk=joey&u=URL%2F&display=popup

In order for this to work, you should remove the "app_id=309437425817038&sdk=joey&" part.
So URL should look like this: https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=URL%2F&display=popup

Not sure why FB decided to change this, but until DiggDigg's developers wouldn't fix it we're in deep sh#t.

any update on this? I'm trying to create my own social media sharing plugin, getting some api from this https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/share-button/. Works perfectly fine but when I'm sending the share link it doesn't submit.. as what @quickim said the app_id=309437425817038&sdk=joey is in the link.

Is there a way where you can remove it?

Lucky... yes, you can remove it and it will work.
