Support » Plugin: Simple Share Buttons Adder » Facebook script inserted causing issues with language

  • I have a site that is supposed to have a Facebook feed in french but since simple share button adder is inserting the script in the header it’s overwriting the language for the script that is being added for the feed (currently being added in a text widget)

It’s not an issue that the script is inserted but it’s an issue that I found the script source is hardcoded with /en_US/ in the ssba plugin.

Before there was an add action to add the get_ssba_style() function so I remove the action which fixed the problem (We were styling what was required ourselves). But since the update that add action was removed.

Would it be possible to have a the Facebook API have a language select or have the option to not output the API js in the header?

  • I came to the forum to do the same observation. Maybe adding a lang field on the settings of the plugin will help.

I’m using the Facebook SDK to allow users login with their FB credentials, and this plugin calling the SDK in english re-translates the login button.

    Thanks in advance guys.
