Support » Fixing WordPress » Facebook pulling default theme thumbnail/description

  • I have searched the forums and seen that some people are having issues with Facebook pulling the wrong thumbnails, but I think my situation has something to do with my theme. I am using a theme called Beauty Secrets. It has default images and text for the front page slider. I set up the site with a static front page using the slider. The other pages do not show the slider.

When I try to link to the site from my Facebook page, it pulls the default images from the slider instead of the ones that are displaying on my page (the ones I added).

Any thoughts as to why this might be happening? I am not well versed in theme creation, so I can’t tell if it’s something going on with the theme coding itself. I even deleted the stock slider images from the theme directory, and they still show up when I try to link from Facebook, so I don’t know where they are coming from at this point.

  • I just wanted add that I cleared my browser cache and the wrong images are still showing, so it’s not that. Thanks.
