Facebook posts wont show featured images

    When sharing a wordpress post with Facebook everything looks good except the image shown appears to be from a widget or sidebar but not the chosen featured image or video. I have read a number of posts that explain the fix for this but they are not working for me.
    Please help 🙂

    Hi, @oldtrout1. Try running a couple of your posts through the Facebook Sharing Debugger to see if there are any warnings/errors that you need to correct (particularly any that have to do with the og:image tag).

    Thanks for your response girlieworks 🙂 I ran a post through the Facebook Sharing Debugger and this is what I got. Not sure what it means though?

    The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.
