Facebook Open Graph Meta Data – Code vs. Plugin

  • I’ve fiddled w/ a couple of plugins that promised to correct blog post info when shared to Facebook (Title, URL, Excerpt, Thumbnail) but none seem to work perfectly. Second choice was adding actual code and the example I came across here (http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-facebook-open-graph-meta-data-in-wordpress-themes/) resulted in error message when added to funtions.php file.

(Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /nfs/c06/h06/mnt/86528/domains/reasonandfolly.com/html/wp-content/themes/moustachey/functions.php:655) in /nfs/c06/h06/mnt/86528/domains/reasonandfolly.com/html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 881

Can someone suggest other code/method to accomplish this?

    Thanks in advance!

    R
