Two days ago: when I manually pasted my blog URL into my facebook status I would get the title and the summary with the option to select a thumbnail from the blog posting.
Yesterday: I downloaded the Share and Follow plugin.
Today: When I cut and paste the blog URL into my facebook status I get a generic gravatar and a bunch of code.
I tried to deactivate and uninstall the plugin, but the problem still persists. I am able to copy and paste links from other websites into my facebook status without a problem, so it seems like a problem with my wordpress blog (and the way the facebook is communicating with it).
This was the response from the plugin developer. Might as well be in Greek. Haha.
try setting up your web pages properly. Setup both Title and Description in the HEAD and facebook will use that. facebook had changed slightly where it take an image first from the site and then 2nd a share url image. this is facebooks choice. Also facebook chooses to cache images so if you multi share the same page you’ll get the same image.
