Facebook Messenger error on mobile

Hello,

The following test was performed on an iOS (iPhone) : when cliking the “Facebook Messenger” button (the standard button or the floating one), a new browser page opens to launch Facebook and the following error message is displayed : “This dialog box is not available on this device”.

There’s no such issue with the “Facebook” button which opens a sharing dialog box without any error inside the browser while the twitter button directly opens the proper application on my iPhone.

This issue happens on every page, not only the one I’m referring to in this topic.

Can you look into this issue please ?

It’s because “”send message” dialogue is not supported on mobile devices by Facebook itself https://developers.facebook.com/docs/sharing/reference/send-dialog#examples

Would it be possible for you to directly open the Facebook Messenger application (like you did for Twitter for example)?

One more question 🙂
Do you think it’ll be possible to use the main image of the post/page when sending a Facebook Messenger instead of the banner of the website ?

It’s related to Facebook Open Graph Meta Tags. If you are not using these already at your website, you can install our plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/heateor-open-graph-meta-tags

why do you people make it so damned had to communicate with you?I got this on my .com site,(Oh, sorry, the screen reader doesn’t work on this page)

What does it mean? The support email address and link of support forum is clearly mentioned at the plugin admin page.

The link you have mentioned seems expired.
