I recently worked on a new theme for my blog and once the theme went online, the Facebook like does not seem to be working for new posts. It likes, but then once you refresh the page, the like is reset. Kindly help.

    http://www.karthikk.net is my blog.

    Bump! Any help?

    Hi,

Avoid bumping your thread as some users usually respond to threads with no responses (and it would seem like this one had at least one suggestion). 😉 Just a friendly reminder.

Regarding your problem, it seems to be working just fine over here. Can you provide a specifig post where this occurs?

Maybe it is a cache problem? Do you have any caching plugins installed? (Such as WP Super Cache or W3 Total cache).

Try also cleaning your browser cache.

If this helps you, please let us know and mark this post as “Solved” to help others in the WordPress community to easily find the solution to this same problem.

    Cheers.

Hi Sean. Thanks for the quick reply! I usually don’t bump. But this being a priority, i thought I could make an exception.
And I don’t have any Cache plugin installed. And also, this occurs for all the new posts I made after I changed the theme. But this works on my beta website that i use for testing things out.

The issue was with the new JavaSDK installation method to implement FB Like on your website. The problem had been fixed!

    Hi,

I’m glad it’s working! So the solution would be to not use the new JavaSDK method from Facebook? Good to know.
