I’ve been making myself crazy trying to add a Facebook “Like” button to my posts. I’ve gotten it mostly working using Facebook’s plugin page, but still have the following issues:
1. When one of my friends “Likes” a post, it just says “1 person likes this,” rather than saying, for instance, “Joe Smith likes this.” Can I ever see who likes my posts? I know I’ve been to sites where I can see what other friends liked the post, but I’ve heard conflicting responses as to whether it is possible on a WordPress blog or not. My other friends seem to be able to see who likes posts, which leads me to believe maybe something is set wrong in my browser?
2. Other people are able to “like” my posts, but I can’t. In Firefox, it won’t let me click on the Like button at all, and in IE it lets me click on it, but then it opens a Facebook page that just sits there blank.
I’ve tried various WordPress plugins but I’ve had the same issues.
Update: I CAN see if my friends like it and I can “like” it myself, but only from certain computers. It’s got to be a setting that’s wrong, but I can’t think of what it could possibly be.
I tried clearing my cache but the only difference that makes is that it now doesn’t think I’m logged into Facebook at all, even when I am. On my page it says “1 person likes this. Sign up to see what your friends like” even when I’m logged in.
