Support » Fixing WordPress » Facebook Like and Meta Tags

  • Hi, I managed to implement the Fb Like iframe into my single.php for every post. However, When it transfers to Facebook i like MYNAME on MYNAME which doesnt really look good.

    I know facebook have meta tags you can add to html to adjust this but its not working, perphaps because my page is .php. im a novice at this but learn quick so if you have any ideas please help!

    basically it says Richard Powell likes Richard Powell on Richard Powell and both points back to rather than the indiviual post, thats another issue. The plugins will not work for me, this is the first time ive even got the like button to work without a red error.

    All advice welcome, thanks!

    This article on Facebook Developers might be able to help you, although it refers to liking an entire page, rather than a post.

    I’m still trying to figure it all out, myself.

    <iframe src=”″ scrolling=”no” frameborder=”0″ style=”border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:80px;” allowTransparency=”true”></iframe>

    use this meta tag in header to display images properly

    <meta property="og:image" content="<?php echo $meta_image . '?' . rand(); ?>"/>
