  • I installed the plugin and uploaded a photo with the exact suggested dimensions for the “default facebook thumb”

    Inside the plug-in settings it gives me the green checkmark saying that the image is good, it shows me the image and gives me a message saying “Note: The image shown above is scaled down. The real dimensions are actually 1200 x 630.”

    But literally right under that it says, “WARNING: Your default Facebook thumbnail image dimensions are smaller than the minimum 600 x 315 recommended by Facebook.”

    And on the facebook debugger tool it tells me, “og:image was not defined, could not be downloaded or was not big enough. Please define a chosen image using the og:image metatag, and use an image that’s at least 200x200px and is accessible from Facebook.”

    But the og:image it says it found is the right one… it just refuses to use it in the link it generates.

    What’s wrong? HELP!

  • I got the same question with you

    I have try to use image of dimension exactly 1200×630 or 600×315, but I still get the same warning

    Yes I’m not 100% sure why that happens only to some users (I am unable to replicate that fault).

    If you’re sure the image is the correct size, then just ignore the warning. It won’t affect the functionality of the plug-in otherwise.

    To satisfy your curiousity, just view the source code of the page in question and look for the og:image tag – and look at the path of the image. For example:

    <meta property="og:image" content="" />

    If it looks like the correct image path (try pasting it into a new tab to check) then it’s all cool in the gang.

    When I get some time I’ll see if I can narrow down the cause.
