Hello,
As a first step can you please recheck if the Pixel is installed properly? Please check our documentation to learn more:
https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#how-can-i-tell-if-the-facebook-pixel-has-been-properly-installed-on-my-site
Let us know how that goes.
Hi Igor,
The pixel is working fine I checked both in events manager and with the chrome plugin.
Thanks
Hi @atelsheikh
Thanks for confirming that.
I’m assuming you are following the procedure as explained in the official documentation. Here is the link for your reference: https://woocommerce.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/
As for the error you are getting, you could resolve it by “resetting” the plugin. Can you please try the solution provided in this thread where the same issue was resolved: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/something-went-wrong-when-connecting-to-facebook-52/
Thanks @margaretwporg
I had done the reset and try to run the wizard two times, but I got the same error message
Could not retrieve installation IDs
and from the woocomerce log file the error is :
06-29-2022 @ 02:06:59 – Could not send Pixel event: Cannot create the API instance because the access token is missing
Hi @atelsheikh,
Thank you for letting us know. In this case, with the Could not retrieve installation IDs
error; it is usually one of two items:
– conflict with theme and/or other plugin. If you have a firewall plugin, or a theme that overrides several files try to disable the plugins and / or switch the theme to something like Storefront
or 2022
and try to connect again.
– Remove or change the value for wc_facebook_external_business_id
under your /options.php page (be VERY careful in that page). If you remove it, save it and test. If that does not work and the ID is back, try to change the values (to a random alphanumeric string, but keep the same amount of digits).
Let us know how it goes!
Thanks, Mike @nixiack8 ,
The 2nd option worked with me, it is now working.
