Thanks, I was using category on facebook rather than product_type.
Is it possible to get the top category rather than the parent?
E.g I have a category called Basketball
It has some child categories e.g.
Basketball > Signed Basketball
Basketbball > Shop by Player > Kobe Bryant
For the later, i want the category to be Basketball not Shop by Player. The only way I can see is to change the parent category setting in each category on the woocommerce side which will be quite time consuming. I thought about using category full path and filtering on facebook set to contains “Basketball” but I get a 503 error whenever i try to use category full path.

Please update the plugin to its latest version and try again. Use the attribute Product Category attribute, not the Product Category Full Path.
