Support » Plugin: Genesis Simple Share » Facebook counter went to ZERO after migration to SSL. is there a solution?

After adding SSL and migrating all links to “https”, Facebook counters on all pages went to 0 (zero). On some of the pages we had tens or hundreds of likes/shares, now they display “0”.

I had read that this is a Facebook issue, as far as Facebook is treating the “https” links as new URLs.

Still, I would like to ask the developers – is there a possibility to fix (hack) this issue via a new version of Genesis Simple Share plugin?

    Thank you,

    Todor

I’m having same problem except it’s with Facebook, G+, Pinterest, LinkedIN – just migrated my site to https and all the social shares are gone. Would be nice to see a developer respond on this.

That’s because bots recognize https as an entirely different link. Studiopress support guys sent me this workaround. https://kb.yoast.com/kb/canonical-urls-in-wordpress-seo/ Hope this helps.

After the update to version 1.1.1 everything works fine with Facebook counter again.

By the way, I can see the sharing buttons on your pages, @jojoagot, they are placed below each post. The featured image of each post is there, too.
