    What version of IE are you using? When I view your blog in IE 9 the facebook comments box is there. Are your WP comments being controlled by your theme in a specific manor?

    I was using IE 7… maybe a little too old??

    I am pretty certain that Facebook doesn’t support IE7 with their social plugins. Many companies began to follow Google’s lead in only supporting the latest version release of IE.

    We have testing our plugin in IE 8 and IE 9

    Ok well that’s all good then. I tried to access the via my work PC which still runs IE7. So that’s good news that it’s working with the later versions. Thanks for looking into it 🙂

    Hi There again!

    I’ve installed the Facebook notifier on another blog of mine:

    I’ve been getting feedback that the comments doesn’t work. The comments box flashes for a little while then goes away. One particular user is using IE 8. Can you please help identify the problem?

    I’m using chrome and it works fine.

    The page looks like it’s taking quite a while to load in IE8. For example, for me this page takes about 30 seconds:

    I do see a couple errors in the Chrome console:

    GET http://sassavenue.com/bloghttp://sassavenue.com/blog//assets.pinterest.com/images/PinExt.png 404 (Not Found) sassavenue.com:116
    FB.getLoginStatus() called before calling FB.init(). connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js?ver=3.5.1#xfbml=1:52
    Resource interpreted as Script but transferred with MIME type text/plain: “http://widgets.pinterest.com/v3/pidgets/log/?via=http%3A%2F%2Fsassavenue.co…r-3%2F&type=pidget&callback=PIDGET_1367240732977.f.devNull&t=1367240732977”.

    Maybe it’s referencing something as a script that is not javascript?

    The easiest way to trouble shoot would be to strip down the page to the bare minimum, add the plugin, then add components back in.

    Thanks for the quick response. I tried deactivating and deleting all the plugins I didn’t use and re-installed Facebook Comments Notifier again. But it still does not work.

    Any ideas?

    I’m seeing a javascript error (in IE) when I load the page:

    There are two errors in the Chrome console that might also be an issue:
