Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. In order to disable guest mode, you will have to run the plugin setup again and it will have an option for you to toggle guest mode. Guest mode session persists for 24hr or until the user end the chat.

isn’t there a way to avoid run the plugin setup again?
Why don’t you make plugin settings like all other plugins?
Hi! I have a question related to this.
I would like to display the chat only if the user can be automatically identified.
Meaning that if the customers is for instance surfing through incognito mode then that chat widget will not even be displayed.
Is this possible to achieve?

Hi @cartseg,
Thanks for the feedback. Currently, the only way to disable the guest mode is to re-run the setup flow. It saved your previous settings, so you don’t have to reconfigure other settings apart from disabling the Guest Mode.
Hi @tobbecokta,
We don’t currently have the feature on differentiating user in incognito mode. However, if you turn off guest mode, then only users that logs in aka user has has a messenger account will be able to chat with your business.

Hi,
Sorry I was not clear enough!
What I mean is that I want to check if the visitor is identified by Facebook or not.
If he is; then show the Messenger chat widget.
If the visitor is not identified by Facebook, then don’t display the Messenger Chat widget. In this scenario I will (instead of letting the customer chat as guest) show another external chat widget which the visitor can use.
Is this possible? I read something similar https://stackoverflow.com/questions/51171087/check-if-user-is-logged-in-to-facebook-customer-chat-plugin

Hi @tobbecokta,
It is currently not supported by default in the chat plugin. But you can leverage the FB javascript and rely on FB.getLoginStatus to check if user is a logged in FB user. The logic will be something like if the get login status is not connected, you can hide the plugin and show it only when the status returns connected.
