  • Hello roadkill1,
The image you were using may be too small, otherwise it will appear while debugging.Facebook give preference to the og tags, however we make image from your post as og:image while sharing to facebook ,in the latest version of FBAP. Try again with another image and please let us know if the issue persist.
    Thanks

Hi anjalixyzscripts thank you for your reply. I see that I was actually using share a link to your blog post when I should have upload image to timeline album. Problem is not solved.

Thank you again for your time.

    Hello roadkill1,

In the latest version we fixed this issue of crawler, so that the crawler pick the post’s image.
When i try to scrape your page, the only image i were able to access was the logo.

You can check here : https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/
To use it paste in the URL of your WordPress post and select Debug. This will provide you with errors to fix. Once you’ve fixed the errors, click Scrape Again to clear the cache so Facebook will see your new image(if any).
The image has to be pre-cached before it will display in the sharing app. You’ll either have to pre-cache the image by running it in the Sharing Debugger, or use Open Graph tags (og:image:width and og:image:height) so the crawler can render it without having to process it first.
If the issue persist ,please contact the support desk
    http://xyzscripts.com/support/.

    Thank you

    Hello

    The same problem here: https://isi-tanzen.de/lass-die-blaetter-tanzen/
    The image ist 1000 px.
if you check on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/IsiTanzen/ you will see that only the header image ist shown.

    Hello Tremer,
As i already said , could you please check your post’s url here : https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object/

    Thank you.

    Hello

    I did Check it.
Now I recognized that there is a conflict with the plugin: WP SEO Structured Data Schema

I did deactivate this plugin now and it works perfect.

    Thank you.

Sorry for nub question, but where to fill out these tags?! I’m receiving posts without images as well, just raw texts with permalink.
I thought your app is filling it out or it just posts a link to a facebook? Should I use some third party tool like Yast SEO?
When I look into the post source there is no “og:” tags at all and facebook debugger gives this:
Inferred Property The ‘og:url’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Inferred Property The ‘og:title’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Inferred Property The ‘og:image’ property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags.
Share App ID Missing The ‘fb:app_id’ property should be explicitly provided, Specify the app ID so that stories shared to Facebook will be properly attributed to the app. Alternatively, app_id can be set in url when open the share dialog.

    Hello amarax,
If you set either featured image or image in your post content, then the plugin fetch it and show it as preview image, it set your post image as og:image . If you set a valid image as per facebook image specifications.Use images that are at least 1200 x 630 pixels (aspect ratio of 1.91:1), for the best display on high resolution devices. At the minimum, you should use images that are 600 x 315 pixels to display link page posts with larger images. If you provide a valid image ,it will appear on debugger. Please try with another image and check the url at Degugger
If the issue persist then please let us know.
    Thank you.
