• Hi there!

Facebook is reporting 2,000 instances of “PageView Event Violates Business Tools Terms”

Here is a screenshot (https://i.imgur.com/dE7hUIZ.png) and this is the full error report:
    “ISSUE
Your PageView event has been identified as sending Facebook data that may be violating the Business Tools Terms:
    – You can’t share customer data with Facebook that includes health, financial or other categories of sensitive information (including any information defined as sensitive under applicable law).
    – You can’t share unhashed personally identifiable customer data with Facebook.
Potentially sensitive or unhashed data associated with this event has been removed. If this data was being used to create Custom Audiences or Custom Conversions, your ads could be affected.
    SOLUTION
Depending on the issue, start hashing or remove these parameters from the PageView as soon as possible:
    em”

When I click to see which pages, it’s reporting that the prioblem is on all my pages.

I raised this with Facebook support and they did an “investigation” which concluded that my pixel plugin was collecting personal information against the TOS but couldn’t give me anymore info than that.

I’m worried that they will shut down my account if I can’t fix this. Please help, thank you!

    Pixel caffeine version 2.1.1
Wordpress version (I can’t tell anymore…It just says “get 5.3” now where it used to show the version #. It’s the version just before 5.3
    Woocommerce Version: 3.8.1

I think this is the issue, it’s reporting the users full name https://i.imgur.com/Pw3RuR4.png
I turned off advanced tracking and cleared the cache in case it’s coming from there but I am still getting the warning

    Hi,

this message is really weird. The hashing is already done by Facebook as explained here https://developers.facebook.com/ads/blog/post/2018/07/20/advanced-matching-pixel/ and the plugin doesn’t add any other sensitive data or personal information unhashed.

Also, this is the first time I see this message.

Could you please make sure you have only one pixel installed in the website and you don’t have any other source of the pixels fired from your website? Or make sure also that you don’t have any other Pixel ID installed in other websites.

    Let me know, thanks.
