Extremely slow load of configuration pages

    I undestand there are over 900 settings to load for this plugin, but the load time for configuration pages is very painful. Can anyone suggest some form of optimization to improve on this.

    Note that this is not related to a huge data volume, busy site, excessive plugins, etc. I just did an new WP installation on my super fast development system in Local (Flywheel / WPEngine). There are no other users, no other plugins, no data at all. Installed this plugin and just went to view configuration pages. Each load was extremely slow.

    I did this a few times to ensure loading of cache and whatever else might help, but it was still many seconds per load of any configuration page.

    Only the settings of the current tab are loaded on the settings page and this should be no issue on most installations; i had no complaints regarding this before.

    I’m hoping over time that someone else who uses Local will report on their experience here. If you have interest, Local is Very easy to use – perhaps you could try it. This exercise would take less than 15 minutes. However, I won’t ask you to do this just for me. I’ll recheck my environment first for issues that will affect performance like this. Thanks again.
