Support » Plugin: GiveWP - Donation Plugin and Fundraising Platform » Extra text shows up when screen size is small

    When I open this page on my phone or a small browser window I get the additional text “Archives: Donation Forms” at the top of the screen. Once the window gets wider the text goes away.

    When I examine the html it looks like that is the h1 class page-title.

    Is there an easy way to either edit the html or modify the plug-in?

    Thanks
    Michael

    Hi @mikegerard

    What’s going on here is that the responsive CSS has some rules that are hiding the Page title (actually by modifying the page-header class adding and removing a margin to the bottom of it). On screens less than 600px wide, there is a pargin on the bottom of 3em. On screens larger than that, there’s a negative margin of 3em.

    You can see the file controlling that here: https://uccwebster.org/wp-content/themes/shoreditch/style.css?ver=5.3.2

    Line 3714 is adding the margin to the smaller screens (which displays the page title)

    Line 4944 is adding the negative margin.

    The fix here (depending on whether you want the text to display or not) is to change that CSS or to add your own custom CSS to override it. If I had to guess, it looks like you want to remove that text from all archives, which means you nee to add a snippet like this:

    @media screen and (min-width: 600px)
    .page-header {
        margin-bottom: -3em;
    }

    If you need assistance implementing custom CSS on your WordPress website, we have this guide for you:

    Have a great day!
