Support » Plugin: AMP for WP - Accelerated Mobile Pages » Extra Space Under YouTube Videos

  • Hi Team,
Great plugin. I’m seeing a lot of extra space underneath YouTube videos in my blog posts. Workout Anywhere Blog . What’s the solution for cutting that down?

Also, how do I get rid of the social icons in the page and just keep the overlay options?

    Hey J @jrunfitpro

Thank you so much for using the plugin! The reason why you are getting those gaps is because the plugin is adding the padding-bottom in the inline styles, see

Then the AMP is also adding that style:

It’s not something that we’re controlling. What plugin are you using to add Youtube? Can you check if this is happening on all the posts that has the video on it?

You mean you want to remove the social icons below the article but have the sticky social icons?

I’m using my theme’s video embed element (Optimize Press 2). It’s doing it to all. I can try just adding the link, but in the past, adding the link doesn’t fit well on mobile.

Yeah. If I can remove the icons below the article, that would be great. I like template 2, and love 3. However, with template three, all of my tags show at the bottom of the post (close to 200) and I don’t know how to turn this off.

Thanks for the help. I think I’m seeing posts rank better thanks to this plugin.

Lastly, what should I do with my logo? I’ve tried resizing, but it’s an awkward horizontal logo, and doesn’t look right.

Also, can icons be displayed in the body text?

    Hey @jrunfitpro

You can control the content of the AMP with the help of custom AMP editor, which is just below the normal editor. That way you can control the video without touching the OptimizePress video code.

You can turn off the specific elements on the page. Go to Dashboard > AMP > Design > Launch Post Builder and then you will see the elements, you can just drag and drop and also enable / disable each of them.

    I hope it helps,

There’s still an issue with the tags showing. Even the switch that I think prevents this, doesn’t prevent the hundreds of tags from showing (at footer area).
