Started with brand new page. Hand-typed the shortcodes in using TEXT tab in WordPress Page interface. Saved. WordPress 4.9.1 takes out the extra space and still puts in their wpautop making the tabs show an extra tiny starting tab. Tried using   , but that didn’t work. Tried using extra enters ^p and then extra breaks (shift + enter). No luck. Here’s the page: https://www.indiesrising.com/read-listen-see/listening/ (Theme is Hendrix)

Here’s my page code so far (and if WP here takes out my spaces, they were there when I wrote this.

    [tabby]
    [tabby title="MUSIC"]
    [tabby title="AUDIOBOOKS"]
    [tabbyending]

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

You have an extra blank tabby shortcode which is causing this. Remove that and the tabs *should* look better.

Also adding a blank line between the shortcodes/content can help prevent wpautop adding tags:

    [tabby title="MUSIC"]

Music content filler text. Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Maecenas felis sapien, dignissim vitae est quis, rutrum gravida sapien. Vivamus laoreet ac ante eu euismod.

    [tabby title="AUDIOBOOKS"]

Audiobook content filler text. Curabitur ultricies arcu luctus, tincidunt lectus quis, faucibus nunc. Donec ut augue quis nisl congue dignissim ut eu quam. Vestibulum nec diam imperdiet, consectetur lorem sit amet, blandit sem. Aliquam posuere neque eu quam imperdiet hendrerit.
