Extra menu above header missing with WP 4.0

    I had managed to have two menus on my site, one right above the header and the other, regular one below it, but upgrading to WP 4.0 made the top menu vanish. I don’t even remember how I got it there in the first place, but it took some doing.

    I’ve temporarily placed the second menu below the first. Is there any way I can put it back like it was, at the top of the header? Or, if I can’t do that, how do I get rid of the extra black space below the white line and above the secondary menu selections? I would appreciate any and all help!
