Extra Headings between Side Bar (Default) w/ Border and Footer’s

Hi! I have to say I love this beautiful theme, but I am having a hard time with customizing the widgets the way I would like to and I’m not sure why.

I don’t know if I accidentally put it there or what, but there is a huge space of headings that includes a search bar, an About page, a recent posts list, an archives list, and a categories list that is appearing somewhere between my side bar default with border and my footer columns 1+2 plus the final footer. It seems confusing so I linked the site in progress below with my temporary URL for reference to what I’m talking about!

I was hoping to somehow remove this whole section from the sidebar. I have looked through every widget, and it doesn’t seem to appear there. I also removed some plugins I thought were causing the issue and none of that seems to help. Since I don’t know how it got there in the first place it makes it very hard!

Hi! Thanks for the quick response. Here are the screenshots I hope that work. Let me know if for some reason these are broken! So the three basically represent the whole screen… you can see there is my “default sidebar with border” box and underneath sits the list I am talking about.

The theme shows default / sample widgets in the “Sidebar – Default” position. In order to remove the sample widgets, you can assign your own widget to the “Sidebar – Default” position. If you do not want to assign a widget to this location, then alternatively you can turn off the “Example Content” under Appearance > Customize > General Settings. Please note – when you turn off Example Content, all sample/default images that show up for posts that do not have featured images will also stop being displayed. So please make sure you upload a featured image for all your posts.
