• Aloha guys!
Just throwing together my site and having a bit of an issue with my coding (yeah, I’m a rookie). I’m trying to alter the current theme to display a banner at the top next to the logo space. I’ve done the math so they should fit perfectly next to each other within the container, however it seems when I tell the banner to float right, rather than butting up against the logo it butts up against the nav menu and changes it from a nice top nav menu that spans the full width to a block of links next to the banner, with the logo still above. My goal is to have the logo and banner side-by-side with the menu directly beneath. I’d also like to avoid any padding on the nav so that the black reaper figure appears to emerge from the menu. Any advice?

Okay I got them to show side-by-side and the menu to go inline by adjusting the placement of the extra header in the header.php file. However, now the menu bar and body have blown out to full width rather than staying at 980px and there appears to be some kind of border around the logo/banner container. Any suggestions on how to limit the properties of the nav bar and the body of the site to 980px again?
