Support » Plugin: External Media » External Media ACF conflict

  • Hi there,

When I activate the External Media plugin I get the following errors on admin screens that contain an ACF image field. There are no errors if External Media is deactivated.

    (on page load)

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'id' of undefined
    load-scripts.php?c=1&load[]=hoverIntent,common,admin-bar,heartbeat,autosave,suggest,wp-ajax-respons…:324
Uncaught TypeError: QTags is not a constructor
    load-scripts.php?c=1&load[]=hoverIntent,common,admin-bar,heartbeat,autosave,suggest,wp-ajax-respons…:329

    (on ACF image field click)

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'align' of undefined
    load-scripts.php?c=1&load[]=utils,underscore,backbone,wp-util,wp-backbone,media-models,plupload,wp-…:95

Any thoughts? I’d love to be able to use External Media but I can’t go without ACF image fields.

    External Media v 1.0.9
    ACF v 5.3.9.2

    Many thanks.

Thanks for the report. I will take a look at the issue when I have time.

And do you had time since 6 months? I confirm incompatibility with ACF version 4.4.11 and ACF Pro version : 5.5.5 that cause the WordPress editor to bug.

There is a Javascript error in WP Admin when adding a CPT item.

For example, I’m not able to switch between visual and text mode in the editor.

JS errors in the console are :

    TypeError: wp.media.view.settings.post is undefined
TypeError: QTags is not a constructor

Thanks for taking a look into that!

    Have a nice day,
