External links in FB post go to error page

The plugin is working great for me. I’m just using it to display the most recent post from the Facebook page that’s associated with my website, and I just ran across a slight annoyance: when the FB post contains a link to an external site (in this case, Upworthy), the link from the post in the widget routes the link to Upworthy through Facebook, which comes up with an error page that says there’s “something wrong with the link”, with options to cancel or continue. Clicking Continue goes accurately to the correct Upworthy page, but the error message is disconcerting to many users.

Is there any way to make external links in FB posts featured in the widget link directly to the external site, instead of routing through Facebook? Thanks.
