Hi there!
I tested this with WooCommerce 3.5.4 and WordPress 5.0.3 and am not able to replicate the issue. My test site is https://
and the external link is http://
, and it stays at http://
when clicked on. Are you updated to version 3.5.4 of WooCommerce and 5.0.3 of WordPress?
Can you paste the external product link that directly here in this thread so I can test with it?
Are you using any other plugins/options to customize the External product functionality?
yes, i use last version of wordpress and WooCommerce , i don’t use any customize
plugin/option for external products,
please see screenshot of option

Howdy!
Can you send us a screenshot of what your Permalink settings look like under Settings > Permalinks
And also let us know the Site Language
that you’re using? This is found under Settings > General
.
I’ll try to test and see if I can replicate this on my end. Thanks!

Thanks for that info!
I switched my site to the Persian language, then changed my permalinks to reflect yours, and I still had no issues with https://
being forced for a non https://
link.
Can you send a screenshot of your external product link and how it is setup? Should look like the following:

Thanks for that info!
I was testing on the single product page, and still cannot replicate the issue.
At this point, I’d recommend testing for a theme or plugin conflict, as this kind of problem is usually caused by either a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
The best way to determine this is to:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.
EDIT: Sorry I accidentally marked this as resolved.
How’s the conflict test going along?
You might want to set up a staging site for testing if this cannot be done on the live site. This plugin lets you set up Staging sites (ensuring the live site stays intact during the testing process): https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-staging/
