    This is not related to the update.

    I am using an external link under Product Delivery options. I paste the link URL in the external link field and click update product. When I check the product page, the external link shows up with a Buy Now button.

    HOWEVER, if I go back to that same product and change anything like the description and click update again. The external link disappears and defaults back to the Add to Cart button.

    If I go back and add the external link again and click update…the buy now button is back again.

    Question: Why doesn’t my external link show in the field after I add it? And, why does it default back to Add to Cart anytime I update the product?

    Hi there I just tested this on my local install. I’m not seeing that happen. When I enter a link in external it shows in the field even on page reloads and when I update it doesn’t revert back.

    I would guess the following is happening. Something is causing the field to be empty when you edit the page again. When you save it if the field is empty it’s going to revert back to normal functionality.

    As for the field being empty that’s a bit harder to know. I’d start with conflict testing.

    Another way out there possible reason is a database problem… You could try repairing your database. If you don’t know how to do that I’d suggest contacting your hosting service.

    Start with troubleshooting though that’s quick and easy.
