  • I really love the functionality of this widget out-of-box although it’s missing the simple ability to link each of the rotated images to external pages. Also, it would be nice to check a box to enable the link to open within a NEW tab/window.

But you can… just as you link with the media window for a regular blog post, you can link your image to an external link. On the media window, in the bottom right, there’s a section called “Attachment Display Settings” and you can select “Custom URL” on the Link To option.

Yes, the external link feature has been working but it would be nice to be able to specify open within a NEW tab/window as Russell suggests.

I see that 0.2.8 has also fixed the issue with deleting an image from the rotator also deletes it from the Media Library. Thanks!

That’s an option in the plugin as well. There’s a select option to open the links in a new window.

My apologies – I was looking for it with the URL on a per image basis, not as a setting for the rotator as a whole.

    Thanks!

It’s a widget plugin so it’s only available in a widget. If you wish to embed it in your page, add a new sidebar in your page template and then you can add the widget to that sidebar.
