    Hi @fmcgtradings,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce Plugin Support. I understand you are having trouble connecting your WooCommerce store to Facebook shop. This error usually occurs when the ‘wc_facebook_external_business_id’ WordPress option is missing or contains invalid characters. To fix this, please follow these steps:

    • Go to https://example.com/wp-admin/options.php (Replace example.com with your domain name)
    • Search for wc_facebook_external_business_id.
    • Update the field to include only supported characters and save (best practice: storename-dfsdc3lck9k6q ← 13-digit random string. e.g, woo-dfsdc3lck9k6q)
    • Double-check the wc_facebook_external_business_id to make sure changes have been saved, in case changes haven’t been saved you will need to update this through the database.
    • Once changes have been saved, please go to Marketing > Facebook and click “Get Started” and attempt the setup again.
    • Please keep in mind that the ‘wc_facebook_external_business_id’ WordPress option cannot be blank or contain non-Latin characters.

You can find more information about this issue and how to resolve it in this WooCommerce support document.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

    Hi @fmcgtradings,

I understand your concern with your store business ID being generated with an additional ‘s’ at the beginning.

It is possible to reset the business ID with by following the steps outlined in our guide here.

have you docs on how to change it via database php?

It’s not recommended to make changes directly in the database via PHP, as it can lead to potential issues with your site. Please follow the steps here to change your business ID: https://woo.com/document/facebook-for-woocommerce/#section-28.

    I hope this helps.
