Hey there,
The more information you can give, the better the calculations will be. If the box isn’t bulky and you know the size of the packaging (for example 0.2″), then you can add that to the interior measurements to get the exterior measurements.
I hope that helps you in the right direction!
@fernashes Sorry, I’m not clear on what you mean. My packaging is 12x12x6″. Is that the exterior dimensions? I assumed it was “inner” since that’s what the form defaults to but inner doesn’t really make sense since I measured the box from the outside.

If you’ve measured the outside of your packaging and it’s 12x12x6″, then those are your exterior measurements.
Measure the width of one of the sides of the packaging, i.e. the width of the cardboard itself. To take an easy number, if that’s 0.5″, then, your interior measurements are 12-0.5 = 11.5″, etc.
@fernashes By ‘width,’ are you referring to the thickness of the cardboard? It’s a custom-made box for art prints and I’m not sure how I’d measure the inner dimensions. Here is how it looks. How would I calculate the inner dimensions for this? The exterior dimensions for this one is 26x21x2″.

Hey there,
Especially if it’s custom box, you’ll want to have as accurate as possible measurements. In your case, I see that it has a sort of border, so the interior measurements are relevant.
By ‘width,’ are you referring to the thickness of the cardboard? I
That’s correct, I’m referring to the width/thickness of the cardboard. From there, you can calculate the inner dimensions of the box. You could also just measure the inside of the box.
