    Hi Thomas!

your image source pluginn works brilliant! Great work!

On my website I’m using an event calendar plugin (Event Calendar Pro from, where users can create events and upload images.

Unfortunately image source doesn’t recognize the pictures uploaded there even they are saved in the wp_post table.
I’m a experienced php developer and want to extend / tweak your plugin. Can you give me a hint, how the plugin recognizes a uploaded picture and where in the code this function I can find?

    Best regards from Munich,

    Hi Oliver,

glad you like it, thank! Maybe you could also rate it? 😉

To answer your question. Have a look at the function save_image_information() in line 531 of isc.class.php.

This function checks the content and the featured image and saves them in a meta value to the post, so the crawling only needs to happen once.

The plugin calls this function when a post is saved or the first time it is viewed (the two functions above do this).

In your case there are probably other fields with images added. If you have an idea for an action or filter hook, I would be glad to implement it for you and others to add parsing of meta fields too.
