• I am developing a catalog website which offers users free PDF manuals of products in the database. I am starting with about 1000 common products, but I am thinking forward to include a Vendor portal where companies can include their specs on my site.

I want to automate the following:

    1. Charge companies a monthly/yearly cost to host their product manuals on my site
    2. Once subscription is active, they can add their parts and PDFs
    3. If they don’t renew their membership, the products get taken down.

I see a lot of subscription, membership, and vendor options out there but I don’t know how to work them together to produce the desired effect described above. Most of them assume vendors are selling a product and that requires a commission. That’s not the case with my site. The end user will be receiving free products. The vendors will need to pay to have their products listed (like a phone book). Is there an all-in-one solution?

    Thanks!

  • Hi @pat, you may have a look at this free plugin ‘WC Vendors‘.

    Hi Terry,

I have WC Vendors installed. It was actually the first I tried. While it is good for setting up the vendors, I’m not sure I can charge the vendors subscription fees for access. I think I am missing a component to allow this.

    It’s a good start, however…

    Thanks!
