Hi!
Thanks for your question! I’m really sorry to hear that the pricing for the TablePress premium versions doesn’t work out for your site.
For technical reasons that I can’t influence, the already-retired ColumnFilterWidgets Extension will stop working with the free version of TablePress 3. The feature will then only be available in the premium plans, where a heavily improved version of this feature is already integrated.
Thus, to continue using this feature, you will indeed have to upgrade to a TablePress premium version, or you will need to remain on TablePress 2.x and not upgrade to TablePress 3 — however, I don’t recommend that as you will then not be getting further updates, including security and compatibility updates, e.g. with newer versions of WordPress.
Just in case you missed it: https://tablepress.org/upgrade-extensions/ also offers discount code for upgrades.
Best wishes,
Tobias
I just saw the lifetime price and that is not a bad deal. I love TablePress and have used it for years, so you deserve the money for sure. I have always wanted to donate but I apparently suck at marketing and can’t make a dollar it seems.
Curious, is the lifetime purchase just for one site or can I use it on multiple sites?
One other important question. If I go Pro, how will I integrate what my current filtering setup with the new version? Sounds like I am going to have to set all that back up from scratch.
Hi,
Thanks for considering the lifetime options! Yes, with the discount for users of retired Extensions, these are definitely a great deal!
Just as the annual subscription, these are for a single production site (you do not need a separate license for development/staging/testing sites, these are included for free). There are also discounted license packages for multiple websites, simply choose the desired number of sites in the dropdown on https://tablepress.org/pricing/
And good news: You will not have to set up anything from scratch! All data and settings will of course be kept from the free version of TablePress and the Extensions! 🙂
Best wishes,
Tobias
