Support » Plugin: License Keys for WooCommerce » Extended version still crashing my site, no word from 10Quality

  • What a PITA! I spent hours trying to find why my site was crashing only to find it was this plugin looking to confirm its license status!! This is a one-time forever purchase. It should not need to constantly ping their website for license confirmation. And worse, they don’t even have an error trap if it can not find the site. I spent dozens of hours coding my app to use this API and now it seems I will have to go looking for another. Too bad EDD does not really do physical products. It was awesome !

6 days and 6 emails and NO replies, and the site is still going up and down.

Note to all: It seems the the latest version of WP does trap this error and helps you avoid the “White Screen of Death”. It seems to work for me. At least I don’t loose my whole site now. I just can not process orders….

Come on guys! Let your users know what is happening !!!!!!

  • OMG, that’s what it’s doing! Thank you for confirming my fears. I can’t believe the plugin is constantly pinging the website.

We received buffer overflow attack, we have removed cross-server checks (DRMs) on the extension plugin to prevent customer sites to crush. Please review our blog, since we will be compensating our customers by extending their license.
