Support » Plugin: Query Monitor » Extended query info / symlink error

  • In the reports I keep getting the message

Extended query information such as the component and affected rows is not available. Query Monitor was unable to symlink its db.php file into place. See this wiki page for more information.

I followed the link to the wiki page and successfully created the symlink. I can see it in FileZilla to confirm it is there. But, even after clearing the site cache and my browser cache, I still get the error.

I asked my web host if they could help but they said even when they changed the ownership of the symlink to the same owner as WP (instead of my SSH user) but it didn’t change anything. They said they didn’t see anything on the hosting side that would cause an issue with the plugin.

    What else can I try?

Sorry you’re having a problem with this.

Can you check to ensure the symlink is pointing to the correct location? For example, the paths used on the wiki page are example paths. If you copy pasted them then the path will be incorrect. Also make sure you didn’t accidentally symlink the file to another site on the same server.

Beyond that I don’t really know what to suggest I’m afraid!

Yes, I’ve checked and the symlink is definitely pointing to the right place, from (my-own-path)/wp-content/db.php to (my-own-path)/wp-content/plugins/query-monitor/wp-content/db.php and both paths are on the correct site. 🙁
