# Extend user profiles?

 * Hi, does a plugin exist to extend user profiles to include things like an avatar(
   ie user uploads a small icon to be displayed with all their posts/comments), 
   additional form fields, etc? I searched wp-plugins.net but didn’t find anything…
   thanks 🙂

 * Hi, if you’re looking for a plugin that adds new fields to your user profile 
   pages, then I’m afraid that might not yet exist.
 * However, you can already show gravatars in posts/comments via plugins, such as
   [Skippy’s Gravatars plugin](http://wordpress.org/support/topic/66559?replies=24).
   And you can pull existing fields from the user profile pages via the [Get Author Profile plugin](http://guff.szub.net/2005/01/31/get-author-profile/)(
   or just read the [WP Codex on this](http://codex.wordpress.org/Author_Templates)).
