    Hello!

I would like to have a second image appear on my circles when the cursor hovers over them. I plan on this second image being just black hand drawn text so you will see the original image beneath. This would preferably be a faded effect but this isn’t essential.

    Hope someone can help me.

    My website is ryanhodge.co.uk

  • Hi!

The theme doesn´t come with an option to display a second image when hover the circles.
But you can use the title that is already there, and show it on hover.

About the “hand drawn text” you can try find a solution using Google Fonts.
    Example: https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Just+Another+Hand

You can choose a font and install:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-google-fonts/

Then you will have style in your CSS to approach the style that you are looking for.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for that, I could go for that but my idea is to have it as my custom font and play with placement ect, so might just leave it as it is.

Do you know if there is a way of doing that in the main post section?

Another route is to post the main circle image as a GIF, is that possible???

    Other suggestions welcome!

About Animated GIFs as featured image, I didn´t try it yet, but I was reading something about that a couple of days ago.

It looks pretty basic, so you may want to give it a try 😉

Let me know if it works man!

Hey, It does work but seems to be compressing the image a bit. looks a bit squashed.
    No idea why!?

I will recommend you to create save your images with a 1:1 proportion, like square.

Because the featured images (circles) resize your image to fit, and you are uploading them 250 x 315 px.

That would help to keep the proportions 😉

Hi Ryan, I love how you have adapted Spun. Is there any way you could explain to me how you’ve managed to change your header and put the menu in? Any pointers would be very appreciated.
