    Hi Ashish.

After you select the post type that you’re exporting, you can specify a filter in the “Add Filtering Options” section at the bottom. The filter would be element “Categories”, rule “In Category”, value “Job Locations”.

We have more information on data filtering here: http://www.wpallimport.com/tour/data-filtering/

    Hi Ashish,

Unfortunately that is not possible at this time, but we hope to add these features soon.

Ok. Thanks for considering this as an option in your plugin. But meanwhile is there anyway (alternative) to do this? It might save hours for me. b’coz I just need to create same categories in other site. The only issue is they are huge in numbers.

If you don’t need any of the metadata in the categories (like category description, image, etc), then you can export all of the posts with WP All Export (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-all-export/) and then import the posts with WP All Import – you can import then as a draft if you don’t want them to appear on the site while the import is going.

After import, you can go to Manage Imports ▸ Delete to delete the posts you just imported. The categories, however, will remain on the site.

The category meta is possible as well, but it’s a little more complicated.
